DAISY, widow of the late Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi, has backed the Divas in Action female group’s initiatives to empower each other.

The Divas in Action will have an all-female musical gala tomorrow night at Pakare Paye, Norton.

The line-up for the day will include Attalia Parehwa, Bridget Mlambo, Beauty Katiji, Caychi, Natasha Muz, Jully Bee, Precious Lady Bimma Mujibha, Flame Lily, Shantel Sithole, Fadzie Kays, Cee Kay, Vani Timbe, Patricia Sipanera and Sarah Dee.

Tonight, the ladies are holding a fundraising dinner at Cresta Oasis Hotel.

The dinner is meant to bring various supporters and well-wishers to give a helping hand.

Sarah Dee said any help will go a long way in ensuring the growth of female artists in the country.

“On Friday, it will be a night to meet and greet as well as meeting business people, promoters, supporters.

“It will also be about learning how to interact at such functions as a way to groom and prepare a female artist for greater heights because the Real Journey has begun.

“We shall accept any form of assistance in cash and kind from all and everyone who would love to see a female artist rise,” she said.

Sarah Dee confided more partners would come on board.

“We are calling companies, who are willing to be part of this, as they share their journeys as female artists in this industry of ours.

“They shall pour out their wishes and how they plan to expand their brands.

“They know they can expand this industry if the working environment is user friendly and fair amongst all artists,” she said
