TUNISIAN international Fabien Camus believes that his side will have the edge when they battle Algeria in the group stage of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The teams will meet for their second Group B match on January 19 in Franceville and it is already being spoken of as one of the most eagerly anticipated clashes in the first round of the tournament.
In an interview with Le Buteur, Camus expresses his respect for Algeria, but believes the Carthage Eagles have what it takes to defeat them.
“It (the match) will be balanced in our direction because I think the Algerian selection is at a delicate stage after their difficult start in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers,” said Camus.
“Tunisia progresses rapidly and can earn a lot of games with the coach (Henryk) Kasperczak.
“Of course we cannot pick any favourites in such a group, especially with the presence of Senegal.
Camus added, “It will be a tough battle between three African nations of Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal.” — MTN Football
