In her red designer gown with lace cut-out panes and a long slit, Kganyago worked the red carpet for her SABC1 lifestyle show The Link like nothing was wrong. But the reality was that she was still recovering from an operation that removed fibroids from the wall of her womb.
Fibroids are benign tumours that form in the wall of the uterus and are common among women.
“I had the operation five weeks ago and went back to work a week later. My gynaecologist said I could go back to work but to take it very easy. I took it easy at the Durban July because I was still healing.”
The presenter said the two fibroids had grown to “the size of tennis balls” when she decided to have them removed.
But life is looking good for the bubbly starlet. With endorsement deals the latest accessory in the celebrity world, Kganyago has also bagged herself one.
“I’m really excited about it as it has to do with women,” she said without revealing much.
With her health and profile looking good, it seems there’’s nothing that can stop this determined woman from achieving her dreams. – Sowetan.
