Twalumba boss Sibanda dies

TWALUMBA Holdings executive chairman Dr Nkululeko Sibanda has died. He was 42.
A family friend Adorrah Makoni said Dr Sibanda died at Parirenyatwa Hospital on Saturday night and had been ill for some time.“He died at around 10PM on Saturday and hasn’t been feeling well for quite some time. He passed on at a time when doctors were still carrying out tests to find out the cause of the illness,” she said. “As you might be aware Dr Sibanda was from Binga so burial arrangements are yet to be announced as we’re still waiting for the arrival of other relatives from Binga.”

Dr Sibanda was husband to the Zimbabwe Women’s Football chairperson, Miriam Sibanda.

At the time of his death, the couple had several business interests including Twalumba Football Club which was in Division One.

In 2013, Eastway (Pvt) Limited, a subsidiary of Twalumba Holdings signed a $1.6 billion deal with Thompson Cole Consortium, a United Kingdom-based firm for the construction of solar power generation plants in the country’s eight rural provinces.
