Twalumba, Mambas part ways

Mambas have been playing their Castle Lager Premiership matches, of late, without the Twalumba sponsorship logo on their jerseys.
Madinda Ndlovu, who was seconded to Mambas by Twalumba Holdings as technical director in charge of all coaching duties at the club, has also not been sitting on the bench of late.
Sources told The Herald yesterday that the deal between the two parties was off and there have been reports that Mambas could embrace a new sponsor soon when BancABC comes on board. BancABC, who pumped US$200 000 into the coffers of Dynamos and Highlanders, are reported to be close to concluding a similar deal for Mambas.
“The deal between Mambas and Twalumba is certainly off because there have been differences between the two parties,” the sources said.
“The sponsors believe they haven’t been receiving the mileage they wanted and are not happy that they haven’t received reports for last year’s campaign and monthly reports related to the operations of the club.
“Mambas seem to have also moved on because you can see that they haven’t been using the kit with the sponsors logo on their jerseys as was the case last season when the partnership was in good health.”
The sources said Twalumba Holdings, who now run their own Division One franchise, Highfield United, were likely to recall their players – who have been on loan to Black Mambas – when the transfer window opens.
“Madinda is also being recalled but the situation with Peter Ndlovu is not clear because he could choose to honour his commitment to play for Mambas for the rest of the season,” said the sources.
Twalumba Holdings yesterday said they could not comment on a private arrangement they had with Mambas.
