Twenty clubs are expected to compete in the men and women’s categories at the competition that ends tomorrow.
Joe Mujuru, a member of the tournament’s organising team, said they were ready to play host to the games.
“Everything is set for the competition which we hope will be our biggest event before we go for the Christmas holidays. All the Southern League teams have confirmed that they will participate.
“Before the start of the tournament, local businessman Peter Mubi will present a kit to Kings which they will use for the competition,” said Mujuru.
Harare clubs will not be part of the Kings Invitational competition as they will be involved in a Northern Region organised tournament.
Gweru’s Unicorns, Steelers and Midlands State University teams are out.
Kings are likely to bank on Garikai Gumbo, Kevin Maingire, Sebastian Ndlovu, Benjamin Jani and Garth Hussey among other players to lead them.
Highlanders have a number of top players in the city such as Stewart Woods, Derek Chiradza, Michael Zvoushe, Kalid Fazilahmaid, Tawanda Mudzudza, Jordan Davids and Lionel Smith.
Other Southern league affiliated clubs include Giants, Lakers, Stars, ZB Titans, Nust, Oilers, ALCC, and Sixers.
