In South Africa they are expected to compete with other players coming from differentr parts of the continent.
Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Tennis Board chairman Adam Joelson was hopeful that the junior players would be exposed to higher levels of competition which will in turn help them develop their skills.
“The Gauteng North, East and Central Junior tennis tournament draws players from a number of African countries. As Zimbabwe, we also have players from Mutare and Harare going there.
“This tournament is meant to expose our youngsters to regional and international circuit as well as gauge the level of competitiveness of our players. It is our hope as coaches and stakeholders of the game that the players will learn a lot from the Games,” said Joelson.
Girls College Tennis Centre gaffer Thesly Mufunda is in charge of Team Bulawayo and will be joined by Raggs Joelson.
