TWENTY-THREE DAY MARCH AGAINST DRUGS

Tafara Chibanda

COLUMBUS Mushore, the founder and chairman of Heal Us Zimbabwe, has embarked on a 23-day march from  Beitbridge to Harare to cast the spotlight on the fight against drugs and substance abuse.

He is being supported by his three colleagues Kudakwashe Mafuta, Terrence Shenje and Terrence Mpofu.

They started their march on June 26.

In an interview with H-Metro, Mushore said:

“I started this journey from Beitbridge Border Post because a number of drugs get into the country through this border.

“We planned to march 25kms per day but we ended up doing 30kms because we have to reach many places in a short period of time.

“We want to take both the march and the campaign to schools but we need to be granted permission first before we do so.

“Right now we are spreading the gospel to those who have not started taking drugs yet to desist from taking them.”

As of yesterday, the group was left with just 70kms to reach Masvingo.

He said he hopes by July 17, many people would have participate in the march.
