twin brothers aged 14 have been arrested for sexually abusing two minors between August and September last year.
The duo, of Lotch Farm in Summerton area, cannot be named to protect the identity of the minors, are accused of raping a Grade 2 and 3 pupil respectively.

The brothers denied the charges of rape when they appeared last week before Masvingo regional magistrate Mrs Dambudzo Malunga, who remanded them out of custody to May 17 pending trial.

Charges are that sometime in August last year, the two accused persons lured one of the complainants, a Grade 3 pupil at Chidzikwe Primary School, into their hut.

They then took turns to rape her. In the second instance, the duo is alleged to have used the same modus operandi to sexually abuse a Grade 2 pupil several times at their family plot.

The crime came to light when both the victims narrated their ordeals to their respective guardians, who then reported to the police.
The twin brothers were subsequently arrested.
