Two are better than one!

THE purpose of God was that two have to work together in love, without competing in ministry but complementing one another. Two are supposed to be a powerful tag team against the devil. The Bible in Ecclesiastes says that two are better than one and they have a good reward for their effort. God saw that the man alone was not powerful enough as he would intend him to be. He needed a helper. That is why He had to bring out a man with a womb called Eve. This was a beautiful man, not handsome! A helper in Hebrew means an assistant, co-worker and partner with more strength, sensitivity, wisdom and inbuilt capacity to compliment everything in your marriage.

Isaiah’s Wife Another Prophetess is mentioned in the Old Testament, “And I went unto the Prophetess and she conceived and bare a son.”

Isaiah 8 vs 3

New International Version

Then I made love to the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. And the LORD said to me, “Name him Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.

This was the wife of Isaiah. No other Old Testament Prophet is said to have married a Prophetess. This could explain why Isaiah so accurately foretold the suffering of Christ. To a large extent, she was the key to such a powerful and successful prophetic ministry that is still enjoyed and exhibits God’s power. The Bible does say “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour”

Ecclesiastes 4:9

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:(NIV)

It is not hard to believe that Isaiah’s marriage to a prophetess gave him a distinct advantage over other prophets; note that his writings are often called “The Fifth Gospel” by theologians because of the double prophetic balance brought into his ministry by marrying a prophetess. He accurately and precisely predicted the life of Jesus, His birth and ministry some thousand years way before He was born.
