Two brothers jailed five months for hunting hare and guinea fowl

TWO brothers were sentenced to five months in prison for unlawfully hunting one scrub hare and three guinea fowls.

In a statement, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPZA) said Frank Moyo (34) and Whisper Moyo (24) were arrested after they failed to produce a license that authorised them to hunt the animals which were worth US$400.

“The accused persons were sentenced to five months imprisonment of which one month was suspended. A further 4 months were suspended on condition that the accused persons complete 140 hours community service,” reads the statement.
