TWO DEAD THREE INJURED! How Alois Bunjira survived head -on collision

POLICE have released finer details regarding a head-on collision along the Rusape–Nyanga Road yesterday morning that claimed two lives and left three others nursing injuries.

The accident occurred around 10AM at the 8km peg when an Isuzu pickup truck, carrying three passengers, attempted a risky overtake on a bus and crashed head-on into an oncoming BMW driven by ex-Warriors and CAPS legend Alois Bunjira.

“Two people died, while three others were injured, after an Isuzu pickup truck, which had three passengers on board, tried to overtake a bus while there was an oncoming BMW vehicle,” confirmed the police.

Both vehicles were mangled in the smash, with the Isuzu’s passengers taking the worst hit. “The vehicles collided head-on, resulting in the death of two passengers from the Isuzu vehicle,” police added.

The deceased were ferried to Rusape General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem, while the injured are admitted at the same institution.
