Two people last week died in a road accident near 22 Miles, Zimunya, along the Mutare-Masvingo Highway.
The driver of the vehicle, Simbarashe Ndiya, lost control of the car resulting in it overturning.
The toddler was identified as Zane Ndiya.
Manicaland police spokesperson Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa confirmed the accident in an interview with The Herald last week.
