Andrew Dzvairo and his wife Mildred Chiumba both from Harare perished together. Penia Chiyangwa and his wife Paida Chiyangwa all from Guruve perished together with their children Nancy (3) and Pride (7).
Others who perished are Barbsy Marufu from Chigwedere Village in Hwedza, Andrew Mahachi, Stanely Zvichapera and Brian Muzhingi, all from Harare; Lucky Takaedza from Mt Darwin, Blessing Zhaware and Blessing Chimbi both from Marange in Mutare, Lawrence Mureya from Zvishavane and Evias Mudzamiri from Musana communal lands.
The bodies of Zhaware, Chimbi and Mureya were taken from the border to Marange and Zvishavane while the other 12 bodies arrived at their Seke Road church in a convoy of hearses.
