Two illegal miners murdered in Esigodini

TWO illegal miners were murdered by at a farm in Esigodini while looking for gold at a panning site.

One of the victims has been identified as Bulisani Ncube aged 50 while the other victim is yet to be identified.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said they are still investigating the case and looking for the suspects.

“Police in Bulawayo are appealing for information which may assist in investigations of a case of murder which occurred at

Springvale Farm, Esigodini on September 5, 2024, in which Bulisani Ncube aged 50, and one unknown male adult died,” he

said.

“The unknown suspects pounced on the victims who were illegal miners at a panning site and attacked them indiscriminately

 

all over their bodies with matches, axes, and logs.

“The victims were taken to Esigodini District hospital where they succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment.”
