Two people died on spot after a Nissan UD truck hit two stationary vehicles at a road block in Chipinge.
Circumstances were that the driver of the UD truck, Loyd Benyera, disobeyed traffic police directives while approaching the block at Mikiri.
He refused to stop and then hit two vehicles a Toyota Canter and an Isuzu KB.
Two people died on spot while 20 other passengers got injured.
Chipinge district police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Jowert Kamera confirmed the incident which occured around 10pm.
He said the vehicles in question were stopped by police for travelling during curfew hours.
Ass Insp Kamera said the UD truck failed to obey police instruction and sped over off hitting two vehicles which were also stopped by police.
