Two on the run after murder over spilt beer

POLICE have launched a manhunt for two unidentified men who fatally assaulted a Matobo man for spilling their beer during a drinking spree.

Matabeleland South acting provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nkosilathi Sibanda confirmed the incident which occurred at Orlando Bottle Store in Ntunjambili Business Centre in Matobo District last Friday evening.

He said the two men assaulted Jackson Masuku (38) who is from Ntunjambili area and left him for dead.

Masuku later died from the injuries he sustained while on his way home.

His body was found lying by the roadside near the business centre on Saturday at around 7AM.

Asst Insp Sibanda appealed to members of the public with information on the whereabouts of the two men who attacked Masuku to contact any police station.
