Two suspected armed robbers were over the weekend apprehended by members of the public after robbing a Mufakose family of US$400, R1050 and four cellphones.

The duo were part of a four-men gang that had raided the house.

They were apprehended after one of the complainants shouted for help.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said, “The ZRP confirms the arrest of Vincent Tabvirakare (41) and Peter Munyaradzi Runganga (35) in connection with a case of robbery that occurred at a house in Mufakose, Harare, on January 12, 2025.

“Members of the public apprehended the suspects after the complainants shouted for help whilst the robbery was in progress.”

Meanwhile, police are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of two other suspects, only identified as Zindoga and Gumbura, who are wanted in connection with this case.
