TWO clubs owned by one man are on course to win both the PSL and Division One titles.
Scottland are leading the championship race in the top-flight league, although they have played one more game than champions Simba Bhora.
N’ombeyaora are also leading the Northern Region Division One race.
Both clubs are owned by businessman Scott Sakupwanya, who is also the Mabvuku MP.
“We want to keep pushing and stay top,” said coach Tonderai Ndiraya.
“The only way to do that is to focus on what we’re doing, not on other teams.
“We are just focused on giving our best in our last five matches.”
If Scottland’s climb has stunned the PSL, N’ombeyawora’s charge is equally dramatic.
In their debut NRSL season, they have powered to the top of the table and could match Scottland’s back-to-back promotions if they hold their nerve.
Coach Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera said:
“We have never hidden our intentions. We started by assembling a strong squad, and we are happy with the progress so far,” he said.
The big question now is whether there will be a fairytale ending for the two sister clubs.
The happy ending: Scottland lifting the PSL crown at the first attempt and N’ombeyawora
