Two stabbing attacks in 12 hours as violence erupts over beer & phones in Bulawayo

BULAWAYO police are hunting three violent suspects after two separate stabbing incidents left victims bleeding profusely in alcohol-fuelled brutality on 31 March.

*Attack #1: The Luveve Ambush*
At 2:30 PM, a 31-year-old Emakhandeni man was drinking at PS Mpofu shops when: three men (including suspect only identified as Lee) attacked him over undisclosed issues.
The assailants fled after stabbing him near the spine & left shoulder with a sharp object.
Victim suffered deep back wound & moderate shoulder injury.

*Attack #2: The Cowdray Park Bar Brawl*
At midnight, a 27-year-old Cowdray Park man was stabbed at a sports bar after the suspect, Simbarashe Makovere (31) accused him of phone theft.
Makovere attacked the victim with a Colombia knife – slashing his head & left hand.
He left the victim bleeding heavily as he fled into the night.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele warned members of the public against carrying dangerous weapons and appealed for information that may lead to Lee’s arrest.
