TWO Zimbabweans and a South African operating as a syndicate linked to a series of crimes were arrested at Sinthumule area near Makhado town in Limpopo province, South Africa, police have said.The three allegedly broke into several houses and shops, stealing a variety of goods and money.
Police spokesperson for Limpopo province, Lieutenant Colonel Ronel Otto said the suspects, Ndulani Menukula, 23, a South African and his two Zimbabwean accomplices, Given Mpofu, 24, and Courage Shoko, 23, were arrested last week after they were caught while attempting to break into two homes at Sinthumule during the night.
“We arrested three suspects, two Zimbabweans and a South African. The three are linked to an organised syndicate that has been terrorising the community of Sinthumule and surrounding areas breaking into shops and homes and stealing valuables, mostly household property,” she said.
Lt Col Otto said two other suspects; also Zimbabweans were still at large. She said the trio was linked to 14 cases, which included common and house robbery, housebreaking, armed robbery, murder and assault.
