THE Tynwald High School bus driver, who was involved in a fatal accident in which six students perished in Nyanga, has a valid driver’s licence.

Chamunorwa Machimbidzofa, 43, acquired his Class 1 driver’s licence in 2014.

National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, told H-Metro that Machimbidzofa’s papers were in order.

“We have verified the validity of the driver’s licence, which he acquired in 2014,” said Asst Comm Nyathi.

He said investigations on the possible cause of the accident were still continuing.

He urged drivers to exercise caution  on the roads and to avoid night driving, if possible.
