ENTUMBANE will host the Arenel National Association of Secondary Schools Heads (Nash) Under-17 football tournament tomorrow.

Tournament director, Mwandibhuya Mutepfa said Nash had signed a one-year renewable deal with Arenel worth $152,000 for schools’ soccer.

“We look forward to having Arenel as a long term sponsor of the Nash football tournaments,” said Mutepfa.

Pumula, Sobukhazi, Milton, Sikhulile, Entumbane, Emganwini, Mzilikazi and CBC are the eight high schools set to compete in the Bulawayo provincial championship.

Mzilikazi are the reigning Bulawayo provincial champions and they would be out to defend their title for a chance to represent the province in the national championships set for early August.

Shadreck Mlauzi, sports director at Sikhulile High School said his team had prepared well and was now just waiting for the big day.

“We’re hoping to wrest the title from Mzilikazi. Anything is possible and we hope to win so that we represent Bulawayo province in the nationals,” said Mlauzi.

Johnson Madhuku of Nash expressed delight at their partnership with Arenel.

“We’re delighted to have Arenel supporting us in our sporting endeavour. Partnering such a big corporate company validates our credibility as an organisation and shows that our efforts are visible,” said Madhuku.
