Special Presidential Investment Advisor Dr Paul Tungwarara has been awarded a golden visa by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which highlights his significant role in fostering strategic partnerships between the UAE and Zimbabwe.
The golden visa provides a 10-year residency permit, designed to attract global talent, investors, and entrepreneurs.
It offers long-term residency without the requirement for a year-round stay and allows for family sponsorship.
A seasoned entrepreneur and investment strategist, Dr Tungwarara has established a strong reputation in real estate, infrastructure development, and cross-border trade facilitation.
Over the years, he has been instrumental in advancing Zimbabwe’s investment narrative, securing partnerships, and attracting foreign direct investment in key economic sectors.

In his advisory role to the Presidency, Dr Tungwarara has led economic diplomacy initiatives that connect Zimbabwe to new markets, particularly in the Gulf region, where investor interest in African opportunities is on the rise.
Dr Tungwarara is connected to the biggest property developers in Dubai, Damac Group, led by Mr Hussain Sajwani, and Mr Allabar, the owner of the tallest building in the world.
He facilitated meetings between them and President Munangwa in 2024, and they are expected to come to invest in Zimbabwe in various sectors.
This development is expected to further strengthen Zimbabwe’s economic ties with the Middle East, coinciding with the Government’s efforts to harness diaspora remittances, enhance infrastructure development, and create robust investment corridors.
