UAE strengthens tourism investment

The United Arab Emirates has reinforced its position as a global tourism and investment hub by introducing highly competitive incentives and implementing a comprehensive national strategy aimed at accelerating sustainable growth across the tourism sector. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

The sector continues to benefit from strong natural, social, and regulatory advantages. These include the UAE’s strategic location connecting East and West.

As a result, the UAE ranks among the top seven global destinations for international tourist spending and holds leading positions in global competitiveness indicators related to air travel and tourism infrastructure. During the first half of the year, hotel establishments hosted more than 16 million guests, supported by over 1 200 hotel properties offering in excess of 216 000 rooms nationwide.

The UAE has also launched multiple national initiatives to enhance tourism competitiveness, including frameworks to support domestic tourism, promote emerging destinations, integrate tourism into education systems and strengthen engagement with international tourism institutions.

Under the National Tourism Strategy 2031, authorities are rolling out advanced digital projects, such as integrated data systems for hospitality establishments, alongside plans to diversify tourism products, accelerate digital transformation and embed sustainability across all tourism activities and services.

These policies have translated into strong economic indicators, with tourism investment rising steadily year on year, passenger traffic through UAE airports reaching record levels, and both international and domestic tourism spending showing sustained growth. According to the source, the country also continues to secure top regional and global rankings in international tourism and travel development reports, reflecting the effectiveness of its long-term vision.
