UFIC donates goodies to Chikurubi inmates

ware, 199 bars of washing soap, 161 100ml of toothpaste, 196 pairs of tennis shoes, 107 tablets of bath soap, 134 tooth brushes, 200 slippers, 37 tins of baby formula and 18 baby blankets.

Speaking on behalf of the church leader, Mr Emmanuel Makandiwa, Pastor Prime Kufakunesu encouraged inmates to remain united as a family

“This festive season is a time of showing love among ourselves. God’s love knows no boundary so there is a need to extend our hands to the marginalised people,” he said.

He said there was need to create relationships with those regarded as outcasts in society. “We know there was a boundary created with your families and spouses when you came here. Even if the nation fails to forgive you but God will continue showing his love and being in jail does not mean that is the end of the world,” he said.
He said while some people were not in physical jails, they were prisoners of their own minds.
