Umlando hit-maker dates City of Kings

UMLANDO hit-maker, Pholoso “Toss” Masombuka, takes his sound to Bulawayo tomorrow at Palace Hotel.

Fifie Cinderella will be part of the act.

The City of Kings has a lot on its entertainment menu tomorrow with the Battle of Zimbabwe showdown between Highlanders and Dynamos set for Barbourfields in the afternoon.

The two’s musical romance, on a day set aside to celebrate Africa, is set to brighten the mood in the arts-mad city.

Originally from Tsakane, South Africa, Toss is said to have dumped football boots for the microphone, a couple of years ago.

That decision to switch careers seems to be paying dividends as he has made his mark on the scene since hitting the big stage.

The 22-year-old dropped smash hit single Umlando, which is one project that speaks to his artistry.

Video vixen Fifie Cinderella, born Farisai Musora, is an explosive performer with her glossy choreography.

She comes along to add spark to a show parked in a month that continues to provide a fair share of performers from down south.

Dj Tira, Shasha, NoMfundo were here a fortnight ago while Boss Wellaz brought Musa Keys to Gweru last week.

Sir Trill closes the curtain on the SA inflow a day after Toss’s performance.

Bulawayo-based upcoming musician, Kiwa, said he was inspired by the acts coming to the city.

“I’m very looking forward to this show.

“As an upcoming musician myself, I learn a lot and derive inspiration from these shows.

A trio of dee jays – Ayaxxx, Keitho and Mandoza – will spin the wheel on the decks.

The expectation is that Africa pride music is expected to dominate the house.

Hosted by Kikki Dinaj and Mr Jaiva, the show is likely to rock the city tomorrow.
