But Zimbabwe are not the only ones struggling here.
Namibia also struggled yesterday, losing 5-26 to Free State Cheetahs, and the two national sides are set to meet on the final day.
Coached by Bryan Radimeyer, Zimbabwe had many opportunities to touch down yesterday but their final passes were not good enough.
Their only try came from Robert Jameson, a beauty, which was capped by a brilliant conversion from Justin Hammond.
Team manager Tan Dinhidza feels that his side put up a much better display compared to their 0-36 hiding at the hands of Golden Lions at the same venue on Monday.
“The boys have improved and their confidence was much better. Players like Tristan Evans and Dustin Pike really showed good efforts in tackling and I believe the third game on Thursday (tomorrow) will be good,” said Dinhidza.
Griffon’s vice-captain, Boitumelo Tsatsane, said their teamwork carried them through.
“We played as a team and did a lot of hard work in our passes compared to our first match of the festival against Border CD.”
