Unflinching patriotism and loyalty key in ZDF, President

Presiding over the commissioning parade of the Regular Officer Cadet Course 3/39/22 at Zimbabwe Military Academy (ZMA) in Gweru, President Mnangagwa who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces said serving the Defence Forces is a life of service.

The President asked the newly commissioned Officer Cadets to have unflinching patriotism and loyalty, with discipline, sacrifice, dependability and selflessness being exhibited at all times.

“It is my singular honour and privilege to address you all as we celebrate the remarkable achievements of the young officers of Regular Officer Cadet Course 3/39/22 who have completed their rigorous cadet training programme.

“They are now ready to embark on a new chapter in their lives and service to our beloved motherland, Zimbabwe. We say to them makorokoto, amhlophe, vongratulations,” he said.

President Mnangagwa commissioned 182 Officer Cadets, including 138 males and 44 females.

Among those commissioned was one seconded to Russia for further military training.

The Regular Officer Cadet 3/39/22 passing was the 39th course to graduate at the Academy since 1980, with the completion of the course symbolising the end of a demanding journey that began on July 18, 2022.

The ZMA prides itself on being a centre of excellence in military training and education.
