were treated to some Easter goodies by Athienitis SPAR over the weekend.
Just Children Foundation is a Christian organisation that was founded in 1998 by the late Moosa Kasimonje.
The home looks after the needy children between the ages three to 15 in Zimbabwe especially those living and working on the streets.
The children were given some foodstuffs, households and treats as a special Easter gift.
Among the donated items were bags of mealie-meal, rice, bread, bars of washing soap and Easter eggs.
Former beauty queen and public relations officer for Athienitis SPAR, Samantha Dika said her shop had the community at heart.
“We frequently donate to the underprivileged children in society as they can be neglected and have their needs overlooked.
“The home generally depends on the donations from well wishers such as Athienitis SPAR but has a thriving self-sustenance programme, gardening and small scale animal husbandry.
“With a training centre in Tynwald, the Just Children Foundation is making an enormous contribution in the community and improving the lives of vulnerable through effective skills development,” Dika said.
Besides the eats, the children also took time to showcase their talent in song, dance and prayers.
