ORGANISERS of the 2025 Unforgettable Milton Rugby Festival have released the fixtures for the two-day schoolboy fiesta, which is scheduled for April 11 and 12 at Hartsfield Rugby Grounds.

The eagerly awaited tournament will see 15 schools drawn across the country meet at the home of rugby for what promises to be an enthralling schoolboy rugby fiesta.

Each school will field two teams, an Under-16 and first team. Among the participants, Prince Edward is a notable new entry and the Tigers will debut at the tournament. Notably, there will also be girls’ teams competing at this year’s event, adding to the excitement.

Speaking to Zimpapers Sports Hub, Milton Boys High teacher-in-charge of rugby and tournament organiser, Lovemore Mangwiro, confirmed that preparations for the annual event are well underway and progressing smoothly.

He said they are looking forward to an action-packed two days and expressed his gratitude to “Unforgettable” for coming on board.

“All is in place. Our preparations are already at an advanced stage. We want to ensure everything runs smoothly without any disruptions and Hartsfield is undergoing improvements. For the second year running, we will also include girls’ teams as we aim to offer equal opportunities for everyone to showcase their talents.

“We are also grateful to Unforgettable for coming on board to partner us. It’s going to be a tournament to remember. All the participating teams will be using this tournament as part of their preparations for the upcoming season, so at the end of it all, rugby development will emerge the winner,” said Mangwiro.

He added: “It will be two days of rugby galore and we are looking forward to seeing the future of Zimbabwean rugby in action.”
First team matches will be played on the main field while Under-16 games will take place on the B-Field.
