Unforgettable treat for Rekai Tangwena inmates

Post Reporter—

NYANGA Produce recently treated children and staff members of Rekai Tangwena Children’s Home to a wonderful Christmas party.

The party was held at Nyanga Produce premises which are owned by Mr Tim Chibvuri who also has a small attractive garden where customers can enjoy beverages.

Mr Chibvuri said: “The idea of give the children a surprise Christmas party came from Sherrene, the daughter of a retired couple staying in the village. Sherrene and her aunt, Coral, both from South Africa decided to make up ‘shoe box’ Christmas presents for the children they had met during a visit to Nyanga.”

While Sherrene, Carol and other ladies in South Africa bought gifts for the children, Mr Chibvuri and his friend, Mr Emmanuel Mlambo helped in decorating the venue.

Mr Mlambo also stood in as Father Christmas and was the star attraction of the occasion.
