Unifreight Africa Limited has approved plans to delist from the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) and subsequently list on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX), joining a growing number of companies exploring opportunities on the US dollar-denominated bourse.

The proposed migration comes amid renewed corporate interest in VFEX, which offers a platform for trading and settlement in foreign currencies and is designed to facilitate access to international capital.

Established in 2020, the exchange offers incentives that include a reduced dividend withholding tax rate of 5 percent for non-resident holders of qualifying securities and capital gains tax exemptions applicable to specified instruments, subject to prevailing legislation.

Investors should confirm the tax treatment applicable to their individual circumstances.

In a cautionary statement, Unifreight said its board had approved the proposed transaction, with further details to be released after regulatory processes have been completed.

“Shareholders and the investing public are hereby advised that the Board of Directors of Unifreight Africa Limited wishes to advise shareholders and the investing public that the board of directors has approved the delisting of the Company from the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, immediately followed by its listing on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange.

“Further details of the transaction will be provided to Shareholders once all regulatory processes have been finalised.

“Accordingly, Shareholders are advised to exercise caution and consult their professional advisors when trading in the company’s shares.”

The move would add to a series of corporate migration developments involving the two exchanges.

TSL Limited completed its migration to VFEX in July 2026, becoming the exchange’s 20th listed company.

The diversified agricultural and logistics group said the move was intended to align its market valuation with its predominantly US dollar-denominated earnings.

Dairibord Holdings has also been pursuing a proposed migration, which remained in progress in September, while Ariston Holdings announced a proposed voluntary delisting and subsequent VFEX listing, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.

The trend has been supported by streamlined migration procedures introduced by the ZSE and VFEX in April 2026, easing certain requirements for dual-listed companies seeking to transfer their secondary listings.

For the transport and logistics group, the proposed transaction presents another opportunity to assess the capital-market platform best suited to its operations and financing requirements.

However, the ultimate benefits will depend on investor participation, liquidity and the company’s performance.

Shareholders are awaiting further details as the regulatory process progresses.
