Unilever launches promotion

Omo Zimbabwe brand manager Mr Tinashe Nyoni said the winners of the all-expense paid trips to Dubai would be identified through five regional draws that will be conducted during the course of the promotion which ends on July 19.

“We will be giving away prizes every fortnight. The first prize will be an all-expenses paid trip to Dubai plus US$800 spending money, the second prize will be a washing machine, and the third prize will be cash prizes while the fourth will be school fees vouchers. The winners of the first prize will be contacted by phone and escorted to the airport by procession,” he said.

Unilever customer marketing manager Ms Joyce Machigere was naturally elated by the successful launch of the promotion.
“This is the biggest of our Omo promotions that we have had so far,” she said.

“To qualify for the promotion one has to put two 500 grams empty sachets or alternatively the 1kg sachet into an envelope, write their name, address and phone number on the envelope and drop it into the promo bins in selected shops and supermarkets,” said the company.

Omo washing powder is Unilever’s leading brand. It competes with rival brands like Sunlight washing powder and Boom washing paste. The preliminary road show was done in Chitungwiza last Thursday.
