United deal done

LONDON. — Manchester United have agreed a £34,7 million deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.

German daily Bild say that the midfielder will be heading to Old Trafford after an agreement was made over his transfer fee.

It now looks like the Armenian will complete his dream move next week in what Bild describe as a formality.

It means United will be paying well over £30 million for a player with just 12 months left on his contract.

They could have signed a pre-contract agreement on January 1 but the midfielder was desperate to move now rather than later.

Dortmund had been adamant that he would stay and see out the final year of his deal but now he – and agent Mino Raiola – have got their wish of a move. — The Daily Star.
