United, we can be better

It takes the whole village to raise a child.

What an instructive African proverb this is!

It applies to you and I wherever we stay in the world – village or town.

Ants work well in their groups to come up with anthills.

Back in the day, people used to go for nhimbe,

They had the zunde ramambo to ensure no member of the community is left in a poor state.

The whole community was more productive and food secure by working together.

Nowadays, people unite through cooperatives in order to be in a better position, financially.

People enjoy better lives in the community of friends.

Countries come together in their own community of nations –

the Southern African Development Community and the United Nations.

You cannot do it alone!

Work hand in hand with others and life will be better for us all.

Learners need to work in groups, sharing notes and viewpoints, so that they can perform better.

Co-operation is better than conflict.

They say if you want to go fast, go alone,

if you want to go far, go together.
