the injuries she sustained.
Richard Monera, an electronics student at a city college, yesterday appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Arnold Maburo.
Monera pleaded guilty to four counts of driving a car without a licence, negligent driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.
Mr Maburo remanded the matter to today for sentencing.

Appearing for the State, Mr Enerst Zhanda told the court that on July 6 around 6pm, Monera was driving an Isuzu pick-up truck against traffic in a one way street.
He got involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle, a Toyota Raum which was being driven by Casper Pinzirai.

The two vehicles veered off the road and the Raum hit three pedestrians who were walking in a pavement.
The Toyota Raum plunged into a shop and Monera sped from the scene.

Meanwhile in a related matter, an unlicensed commuter omnibus conductor Clemence Mandoro was slapped with 18 months prison term after he was convicted of driving without a licence and negligent driving.

Mandoro took advantage of the absence of his driver and drove the kombi around the rank before hitting three pedestrians.
Mr Maburo sentenced Mandoro to six months in prison for the first count and 12 months for the second.
In passing the sentence, Mr Maburo said Mandoro committed a serious offence and that a custodial sentence would meet the justice of the offence.
