The inspectors arrived in Livingstone, Zambia, on Monday for the same assessment.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Ms Margret Sangarwe, and some officials from her Ministry are in Livingstone.
The inspectors are expected to cross over into Victoria Falls at about 10am and will immediately commence the assessment programme.
They are expected to conclude their programme on Friday.
They are expected to check expansion projects at the Victoria Falls International Airport, the conference centre site, Victoria Falls District Hospital, Elephant Hills Resort, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and Kingdom Hotel among other hotels to accommodate delegates coming for the historic event.
This is the third inspection by the UNWTO team since the country won the bid to co-host with Zambia the 2013 general assembly.
The first inspection was done in the last week of February in which the team led by UNWTO executive director Mr Zottan Smoggy expressed satisfaction with the progress of the preparations.
UNWTO secretary-general Mr Talib Rifai also personally inspected the main venue on the Zimbabwean side, the Elephant Hills Resort, when he came to sign a trilateral agreement with President Mugabe and Zambian President Michael Sata in March.
