UPDATE: Police recover bodies from crash scene

POLICE have begun removing the bodies from the scene of the fatal road traffic accident along the Harare-Bulawayo Highway.

Three of the bodies were placed onto the back of a police single-cab vehicle, while a fourth body, that of a woman, was placed in a metal coffin before being taken from the scene.

Police officers also carried out a meticulous recovery operation at the crash site to ensure all human remains were collected before the area could be cleared.

The recovery operation is continuing as investigators work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
