Upper Lounge launches tonight

Rhodesville Shopping Centre.
This particular site, on the upper floor of an expanding shopping mall, has had several incarnations over the years, drawing a good share of patrons but finding it difficult to do this several nights a week in recent past.
The car park fills on Fridays, and tonight is perfect to see if the new owners can sustain interest and the hype.

Liquid Lounge was the last incarnation but the nightclub has been transformed into one of the best hangouts in the capital Harare where experience the latest vibe in clubbing.
Some of the highlights include live performances by Zimbabwean and international acts among them Mic Inity, Oliver Mtukudzi’s solo concerts, Dudu Manhenga and Winky D for the crossover audiences.
As part of the entertainment line-up there will be a host of Harare’s finest disc jockeys among them Dean, Rax and Robbie T, who will be rocking on the decks.

Besides the gigs, Upper Lounge will complement your night out with light snacks and eats.
According to Martin Makaya, the new owner at Upper Lounge, the name will aptly fit for the new standards and vision set at the club.
“It is now time for you to relax after your day’s hard work. We want to excel on service delivery and we want our patrons to enjoy their drinks, food and live performances by international as well as local acts.

“We shall have what we call bar games like karaoke, themed nights, comedy and a bit of this and that on the programme just to make sure it’s more than a night out,” Makaya said.
He said tomorrow reggae crooner Mic Inity and his Hotta Fyah band will be happening until the late hours. Mic Inity, born Mike Madamombe, has a huge following in reggae/dancehall circles.
His greatest strength is his mellow voice, which he uses to wow music lovers.
