The Rainbow Splash, a three-day expo that was supposed to take place at Prince Edward School last weekend turned out to be a big flop. Yes, we said it. Not a single soul turned up for the show and artistes that were supposed to perform sneaked away as there was no audience, zilch. Some blame this on poor marketing but it’s clear, organisers did not do something right. Zero attendees?
Buzzkill
Buzzkill makes it to our word of the day even though it has been around for a while.
1. It is something that spoils or ruins an otherwise enjoyable event.
2. It is also used to refer to anything that takes the edge off your fluff, a downer, something that ruins your good mood; a killjoy.
3. When used as a verb it means to selectively and deliberately bring down someone’s mood by actions that are designed to irritate, annoy or downright upset a person.

It is a picture of yourself that is taken by you, usually for uploading on social networking websites.
