United States of America based gospel singer Denise Moyo has dropped her third album Chiedza Chasvika aimed at inviting people to find the space and courage to praise God even through the darkest of times.
Denise who is also a poet and songwriter was born in Zimbabwe and when she was a teenager, her family moved to the US where she currently resides.
“In 2022, I launched my music career with an album titled Your Word which was followed by Mweya Wesango in the same year and now I have my latest album Chiedza Chasvika which I released on December 4.”
Denise has also released a few singles to include the song she gets most recognized for ‘I’m Not Broken which was on Christtv’s top 25 songs of 2022.
From her second album Mweya Wesango, two of her songs Kunamata Kwacho as well as the title track have also appeared on various charts to include Star FM and Classic263 in Zimbabwe.
The current album Chiedza Chasvika, was produced by talented producer Macdonald Macdee Chidavaenzi and it is an invitation to still find the space and courage to praise and worship God even through the darkest of times.
“This can be seen with the title track as well as songs like Mauya, Asingapere and Dutu nyarara.
“This album was also recorded after the Covid-19 pandemic and songs like Pana Jesu, desperately calls for us to keep our eyes on Christ no matter how difficult things get.
“There is a special healing that can be cultivated when one is able to engage in the praising and worshiping of God during difficult times.
“Listeners going through challenging experiences in their lives can expect to feel encouraged and empowered after listening to this album,” she said.
Denise is grateful to be able to share her music through recordings.
“I am hopeful for opportunities to engage in live shows and to include touring around the world, to bring the music to more people.
“I also believe that there is more impact that can only be made in person.”
