US$13 000 money heist robbers arrested

POLICE have arrested four suspects who stole a Toyota Hiace vehicle and groceries valued at US$13 000 in Beitbridge.

In their twitter page, police said the suspects have been on the run for the past five months.

“Police in Beitbridge arrested Samuel Netsanda (39) in connection with a case of robbery which occurred on 25 May in Beitbridge. The suspect and his three other accomplices who are remanded in custody at Beitbridge Remand Prison, robbed the complainant of a Toyota Hiace vehicle and groceries valued at US$13 000,” said the police.

In another case, police in Masvingo are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a robbery case in which five unidentified suspects attacked a couple and stole R 15 000 cash as well as three cellphones at a homestead at Shongamiti residential area in Ngundu on October 18.

One of the suspects shot the complainant on the abdomen with an unidentified firearm.
