THE Brian Samuriwo Foundation has rolled out a revolving fund for party members in Bulawayo aimed at empowering them economically while strengthening the party’s presence in the province.

The foundation is a non-profit making organisation run by a politician and Bulawayo provincial secretary for business, Cde Brian Samuriwo.

The initiative includes training in chicken rearing and production, with over 5 000 birds already having been acquired.

The foundation has also bought Egg incubators for egg production.
A $20,000 revolving fund has also been launched, inviting party members to submit project proposals and access the funds.

“We’re targeting to strengthen the party from cell level,” said Cde Brian Samuriwo, province secretary for business. “There’s a perception that nothing is happening in the party, but we’re creating a strategy for income generation and generational wealth.”

The empowerment program aims to leave no one behind, addressing concerns about the party’s presence in Bulawayo.

The revolving fund was launched during a belated Christmas party held at the district party’s command centre in Luveve suburb on Thursday.
