Residential stands will start from 1 500 square metres per property at US$50 per square metre meaning the cheapest stand will be selling at US$75 000. About 310 units will be developed on the remaining lot of Borrowdale.
Expectations are that the development would rival and exceed, arguably, Zimbabwe’s current trendiest upmarket low-density suburb, Borrowdale Brooke.
Borrowdale Brooke had the most sought after residential stands, but they are now sold out amid reports there still is huge demand for exclusive housing.
The artistic style of the homes is unique in design and encompasses spacious layouts and fine finishes whilst achieving an alluring air of grandeur.
The project has four cluster housing stands, one commercial stand and a recreational park with a golf course that would definitely perfect the estate.
RE/MAX Realty Centre is the selling agency and Interfin Bank is financing the project while Ernst & Young are the accountants and financial advisors.
The project manager is E. Chifamba & Partners and the architects are world-renowned Nico Van Der Meulen and Francois Marais Architects of South Africa.
They will be working together with Zimbabwean architects David Mandishona & Banda Architects as well as IK Design Consultants.
Tarcon Civil Constructors are the civil contractors for the project while the building contractors are the Construction Industry Federation of Zimbabwe.
RE/MAX chief executive Mr Rutendo Rutendo said Mr Marais was the main architect regarding the designs and would help bring world class standards to Zimbabwe.
“We are going to be working with him, he is a partner in the project and we are excited to have this renowned man in Zimbabwe to support such a grand project,” said Mr Rutendo.
Mr Marais expressed gratitude to be involved in such a huge unique project and pointed out the partnership would help impart skills to local architects.

Mr Rutendo said they decided to include some of the most experienced architects to ensure a fine and unique development never seen in Zimbabwe. He said Mr Marais’ “signature” would make the project eminent.
