YESTER year giants Zimbabwe Saints received a shot in the arm with a US$30 000 injection into their coffers with the players set to start receiving winning bonuses.
Chauya Chikwata has been struggling financially for the better part of the 2022 season and the cash injection from Adachi Disability Services comes as a timely intervention. A representative of the company, Agnes Zengeni said they were delighted to be of help to one of the country’s oldest football clubs.

“Adachi Disability Services, is delighted to partner with Zimbabwe Saints on this momentous occasion. It is our great pleasure to announce that we hereby begin a journey together with Saints.
A journey so sentimental and affectionately entitled “Kudzoka Kwevakuru” the return of the elders. As Adachi, we appreciate the immense brand that Zimbabwe Saints is. We understand the vacuum that Zimbabwe football suffered once Saints fell into obscurity and we undertake a serious commitment to ensure that 2022 will be the last for Zimbabwe Saints in lower division football,” Zengeni said.
Saints are competing in the Zifa Southern Region Division One after making a comeback to professional football this year. Zengeni said with the financial partnership, they were pinning hopes on Saints’ return to the Premier league.
Saints bounced back into the Zifa Southern Region Division One League last year after clearing a debt of US$5 000 owed to Zifa backdated to 2014. — @innocentskizoe
