LOVERS from across the country are going to be treated to a Valentine’s Day to remember as they will be flown into Victoria Falls to celebrate love. The managing director of Love for Africa, one of the companies that have put up the package, Blessing Munyenyiwa, said the event was a honeymooner’s product put in place just for that special day. He said: “The package includes accommodation at The Kingdom Hotel or A’Zambezi River Lodge, lunch at the award winning Makuwakuwa Restaurant at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, a sunset cruise on the Zambezi Explorer and finishing off the night with a six course dinner at the Victoria Falls Hotel’s beautiful Livingstone room.”
Munyenyiwa said the product was aimed at not only celebrating the special day, but to also grow domestic tourism.
He said One Love Africa has partnered with Air Zimbabwe, Africa Albida Tourism (AAT), African Sun, Meikles Hospitality, RTG, Eat Out, Zambezi Explorer to give lovers this package with discounted rates.
Munyenyiwa said the tourism sector was only going to benefit more if packages of that nature were made available to locals.
“If locals were given incentives to travel to the resort town, then the tourism industry was going to grow tremendously.
“February is a quiet time in Victoria Falls and the more we come up with packages like these, the more we will be able to grow domestic tourism,” he said.
