VAN Choga had always been known for his high-energy sapping performances, complete with scruffy costumes and vibrant dance routines.
Now, he is rebranding.
The chanter said he has decided to venture into a different direction.
“I have decided to rebrand because one single style will end up boring fans.
“I am currently working on an album which has a different taste from what people are used to.
“On the album, I collaborated with two international artists and I believe people will enjoy it,” said the chanter.
Van Choga said on the album, titled Gigantic, he collaborated with one artist from the United States and another from Nigeria.
He said he has not deserted his fans.
“I will always deliver the vibrant and energetic stunts they want during shows.
“For my fans, who like those energy tracks, I will always drop singles for them each and every time because they are the ones who supported me from the onset,” he said.
He dropped a single on Monday morning titled Nesango.
“This song contains real life matters and I encourage my fans to listen to it carefully,” he said.
Van Choga said he is beginning to connect with his new audience.
The video, which he collaborated with Nevine, has so far reached more than 4K views.
Although some of his fans were skeptical of the change, others who watched the video were impressed with his Hip-Hop taste.
“If Van Choga rebrands himself he can be a big hip hop act,” said one Shingi Munyoro.
“You are now on the right track, keep going like that,” said another fan.
