VAN Choga is set to release a new album titled ‘Algorithm’ on September 25, marking a significant shift in his musical style.
Van Choga said his new album is a fusion of different genres.
“I am not shifting to hip-hop but creating a new sound that incorporates elements of hip-hop, dancehall, and Jiti. I want to upgrade the old Van Choga and bring a new energy to my performances.
“The new album will feature different styles and I am excited to share it with my fans.”
He said he cannot stick to hip-hop alone because his audience, and the people he usually performs for, need something energetic they can vibe to.
He revealed that he will be releasing three songs each week.
Another song is set to be released next week. This is all about teasing his fans to get a glimpse of his new sound.
“For now, the old Van Choga is still available at my shows,” he said.
“The new album will feature different styles and I’m excited to share it with my fans.
“These singles are not part of the new album but I just want people to vibe to my new tune while waiting for the new album.”
Van Choga released a single on Friday titled ‘Nguva Yangu,’ which is a precursor to the album.
“Nguva Yangu is about embracing my time and showcasing my talents to the world.
“It is a call to action, inspiring others to pursue their passions and not be limited by their current circumstances.”
