Former top model-cum-musician Vanessa Sibanda (pictured below) is back in studio recording her next single that is expected later this month. Sibanda, who is affectionately known as Queen Vee, said was doing a lot of self-rebranding. “I have a new look which some people might not understand, now but I know with time they will adjust. I am back in the studio and have been doing some recording with Ziyon from Liquideep, South Africa’s Ab Crazy, SA rapper Ricky Rick, Macdonald ‘Macdee’ Chidavaenzi and Buffalo Souljah,” she said.
Though Buffalo Souljah is believed to have quit making music, Queen Vee said he was her manager.

“Yes, Buffalo Souljah quit making music, but the good news is he will still be in the music industry because he is the one that is managing me,” she said.
She said was inspired by Rihanna and the late Brenda Fassie because of their creativity.
The mother of one said was hoping to work with local artistes too on her next project.

“I am going to include more local musicians in a bid to promote Zimbabwean music. I am really working flat out on my comeback album. I am a lover of the finer things, that is why I am taking my time,” she said.

Apart from music, the diva said has also ventured into fashion.
“Music and fashion are inseparable. I have started designing clothes under, ‘Queen Vee Couture’, a company that I registered last year, but for now I will push the music first because that’s what my fans have been asking me to do,” she said.

“They know my character and I believe in the making of good music. I can’t wait to share my single with them, which will be released end of this month,” she said.
Asked how she manages motherhood, music and fashion, Queen Vee admitted it is not an easy juggle.

“As a woman I will tell you that it’s not easy juggling motherhood and a career, it’s hard work, but I can safely say I’m managing, I make sure I have enough time for the gym, studio and lots of time for play dates with my one-year-old son. The love I have for my son makes everything look so easy though,” she said.

She confirmed that she still doing modelling.
“I am still in the modelling, but now it’s part-time and I am glad that through hard work and painful gym sessions I managed to get my body back and intact after I had my baby last year.”
